Full Job description:
· Coding hours are 9-3 wth flexibility around that meaning 7-3, 8-4 or 9-5
As a Client Server and Web Developer, you will be involved in the analysis, design, implementation and support of new or existing web-based applications. The applications are a combination of in-house developed systems and third-party packages. Business areas include: Sales, Commercial and Planning.
· You will have the opportunity to work with different technologies: .NET 4.0. VB .NET, Microsoft BI tools – MDS, SSIS, SQL server database, Team Foundation Server. The assignment is primarily support of existing application (including break/fix) and enhancements/re-write of production applications.
· You will work with team members to gather and analyze business requirements, trouble-shoot issues, implement, and support enhancements. In this position, you will establish strong customer working relationships. Candidate must be familiar or have been exposed to the required skills, including change management processes & documentation. Additional on-the-job training will be provided.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Extensive knowledge and experience in technical software design and development, relational databases and data warehousing in a server-oriented environment
· Ability to analyze, develop specifications, and design solutions
· Perform unit and integration tests and work with end users on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production implementations
· Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley processes / documentation
· Good oral & written communication skills
· Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Working knowledge of Web Services
· Experience in packages with workflow logic
