Location: Little Rock AR 72201

 

Job Desc:

The Data Warehouse Specialist will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing data warehouse and relational database applications also to include business intelligence development and administration.

 

Local candidates preferred, but not required.

 

In addition, this person will be required to provide after hours support, 24 x 7 on a rotating basis.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

In-depth Data Warehouse design and implementation (5+ years)

Business Intelligence Software Development and Administration:

Cognos 10, Business Objects 4.1, Information Server, QualityStage 8.5, Data Manager 10

 

Responsibilities:

-Interviews customer  and gathers requirements

-Provides Data profiling, data cleansing, data validation, data standardization, data transformation

-Provides systems analysis, data analysis and proposes appropriate solutions

-Develop  scripts and/or applications to integrate components needed for a complete solution

-Provides knowledge transfer and  technical support to other programming team members

-Prepare, analyze, and design system requirements throughout the data warehouse implementation

-Identify data sources and determine common data definitions across user groups

-Perform design and implementation of data warehouse schema and cubes

-Review data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy

-Perform database design, database architecture, and metadata creation

-Provide technical consulting to users of the data warehouse and advises users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage

-Monitor usage of warehouse to identify potential capacity overloads

-Develop advanced reporting

-Other duties as assigned
