Title: ABAP Programmer (OR) SAP ABAP Programmer

Location: Glen Mills, PA (Philadelphia)

Duration: 12-18 months

Description:

ABAP programmer - Object Oriented (classes, methods and interfaces) with strong interface (complex logic) skills.   Must have implemented SOA with ABAP.  Also experience with BODS is strongly desired.  SLT experience nice to have.  I do know it is a very different skillset than an ABAP programmer writing reports

 Client Job Description:

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

 To analyze, design, create technical specifications, code, test, troubleshoot, and support the SAP development needs for the Resource Management Staff Scheduling program.

 Analyst is specifically responsible for:

·         Design, development, and testing of :

o   Interface programs

o   ABAP custom reports

o   User Exits/ Enhancements

o   RFC's

o   BAdIs

o   Smart Forms

o   Web Dynpro for ABAP

o   SAP Objects

o   Workflows

o   Extractors

·         Creation, modification, and enhancement of business related processes example: HR custom info types

·         Design, development, and testing of additional programs that may be required to enhance the existing SAP product functionality

·         Object oriented programming (SE80)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 A.       RESPONSIBILITIES

       ·         Perform the analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation for the RMSS implementation

·         Collaborate with the SAP Business Analysts, Implementation project teams, and end users to analyze business and SAP functional requirements and develop program specifications

·         Develop, implement, maintain, and document standards and guidelines for SAP Development, batch runs and Interfaces

B.       WORK COMPLEXITY

 ·         Job has high level of technical complexity. Knowledge of SAP Database structures/tables for various functional modules, SAP ABAP language is required

·         Job requires a high degree of creativity and judgment related to the development life cycle

·         Significant interaction with Business Analysts, Functional, Security and Netweaver resources during the course of the job

·         Good understanding and knowledge of SAP HR data structures needed to successfully handle the requirements of the job

·         High degree of independent decision making required

 

C.       ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM SOLVING

 ·         Requires deep, intuitive analytical and problem solving skills to address and resolve technical development issues in a limited timeframe

·         Be proactive in identification and resolution of issues that may negatively impact a project or deliverable

·         Requires combined knowledge of development techniques, application structure, understanding of business processes, personal experience, research capabilities, and interaction with other resources to identify specific problems and propose solutions
