Job Title : C++ Developer
Location : Boston, MA (OR) Irvine, CA
Duration : 6+Months
Locals Strongly Preferred.
Resource can sit in Boston, MA OR Irvine, CA.
Phone and Skype Interviews.
What the application does:
Web based electronic data capture system
Used by medical device and drug testing companies during the testing of drugs and devices
This collects all of the data that comes out of that testing phase
Creates web based representation of the forms that will be used in doctor's offices
This is the flagship product of the group and is the main revenue generator
Additional offerings by Oracle also interact with this application so they will be working with different groups
They will be working on maintenance releases, new features and new integrations
Roadmap for the next year if very heavily packed which is why there is justification to add 4 new bodies.
15 developers on the team, a few of these resources are offshore
What he needs:
Strong C++ developer with experience building multi-threaded applications
Needs Windows developer, can't really use Linux people or embedded or firmware people
The ideal candidate will also have experience with relational databases, write basic SQL statements/queries. Capable of writing queries to retrieve or store data according to application demands.

Also should have knowledge of web technologies – HTML, web services – just be able to understand them
Writing some simple Javascript would be awesome
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Capable of communicating effectively with management, QA, other developers and strategy teams
Experience developing on multi-tier web applications
Experience developing Visual Studio
Experience with XML is a plus
Need ability to troubleshoot and figure things out as some areas of the application are not as well documented as others. Need strong debugging skills.
