Role: Test Engineer II
Location: Frisco, TX
Duration: 6+ Months
Hiring manager wants at least 5 years of healthcare/PBM experience Mandate
Responsibilities & Required Skills
· Under general direction of the ITO Manager
· Test Engineer is responsible for testing software solutions that interface with miscellaneous software and hardware devices in integrated test environment.
· Responsible for accurate testing and evaluation of software programs against design specifications and user requirements within a Waterfall methodology.
· Extensive experience working on all stages of Testing Lifecycle from definition of plans through defect follow-up and reporting Implement and follow the iterative project (SDLC) Software Testing Lifecycle on assigned projects Implement structured system testing (manual )strategies/methodologies for all assigned projects and governance around testing processes.
· Understanding of black-box testing techniques, including functional testing of a user interface, as well as, general testing knowledge of integrated disparate systems.
· This also includes integration, system, risk-based testing, negative testing, boundary testing, basic database validation and test data set-up
· Experience in writing Test plans and test cases
· Executes tests according to established plans and scripts; documents problems in a defect/issue tracking system and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
· Expert Experience with relational databases and structured query languages (ie SQL, Oracle, etc.)
· Thorough expertise with operational usage and administrative oversight of industry supported test management tools, such as HP Quality Center, Microsoft Test Manager / TFS etc.
· Prior QA experience in PBM, Pharma-care or Health care related companies is preferred. Experience in Citrix is preferred.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
· Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines.
