Overall Job Summary :-
The Business Analyst is an expert/lead PeopleSoft Financial functional/technical role that partners with the business function (Corporate Finance Team) and serves as a subject matter expert in processes and procedures within the PeopleSoft Finance modules. This includes analyzing existing processes, identifying processes for improvement, suggesting system solutions, including integrating new or updated processes and provides leadership on future use of technologies and business process improvements.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultative business partner to IT client groups on business process design patterns, principles and techniques.
- Possesses and maintains a thorough knowledge of the capabilities and functions of PeopleSoft. Uses this knowledge to recommend optimal solutions to business requirements that best leverage the product.
- Design and develop metrics and ensure functional ownership is established for continuous improvement.
- Develop change management strategies and plans with particular emphasis on a process-oriented approach.
- Develop business process architectures, process relationship maps, functional relationship maps, cross-functional maps and work flow diagrams
- Develop and maintain an enterprise view of business processes, identifying cross-functional relationships and interdependencies.
- Align processes with corporate strategy, business requirements and IT capabilities
- Working with the business to establish and document those business requirements needed to implement system enhancements or change development requests.
- Demonstrate ability to add value to the business through business process improvement initiatives
- Interacts with Information Technology, Outsourced Development and Support team, and Business Teams.
- Support business processes related to Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report at a minimum.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field
- Minimum 5 years of IT and business/industry work experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in business analysis
- Project Management skills and experience in order to manage system releases and implementations of process changes into the business
- Experience with PeopleSoft Finance modules, specifically, Asset Management, General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable a must in this position
- Experience with PeopleSoft Billing, Project Costing and Contracts preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Accustomed to taking an active role in executing projects
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to write at a "publication quality level to communicate findings and recommendations
- Self-motivated, able to plan work effort and manage to the project schedule and priorities
