This is our direct-client opening for a Netapp Systems Engineer located in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 3+ month contract and the client is only interested in candidates who are local to the area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deep NetApp knowledge in 7-Mode and cDOT including performing OnTap upgrades, volume migrations to different Filer Heads, Snapmirror configuration, volume provisioning including presentation to Windows Servers, iSCSI/FCOE configuration on the storage side and Windows side
SCRIPTING – POWERSHELL – PERL – OTHER Tools
VMware installation, configuration and optimization
VMware SRM configuration and administration
Business Continuity experience
Data Center migration experience
MS SQL administration and database migration
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Systems discipline desirable
5 or more years of experience administering NetApp and VMware vCenter/SRM/ESXi 5.0/5.5
5 or more years of experience administering Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008R2/2012R2
3 or more years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014
3 or more years of scripting: SCRIPTING – POWERSHELL – PERL – OTHER Tools
3 or more years of storage migrations - preferred
3 or more years of MS SQL Database migrations - preferred
3 or more years of Data Center migrations - preferred
VMware VCP certification would be a plus
MCSE certification would be a plus
NetApp NCDA certification would be a plus
MCSA certification in SQL Server would be a plus
