JOB: ENTERPRISE SWITCH - NETWORK ENGINEER
Duration: 12 Months contract
Location: Chosen consultant can relocate to (Denver, Philadelphia or Reston)

(Similar to Network Engineer III)

Beeline Job Description: Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems (including wireless and VoIP) of moderate complexity. Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering. Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations. Evaluates new products, performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications. Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning and makes recommendations for improvement. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has at least 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation.

Experience with datacenter-relevant physical layer medium and interconnects.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on routing, switching and load balancing experience, preferably in a high-traffic content delivery or cloud provider environment.
Extensive experience deploying Cisco or Arista routing and switching in large-scale datacenter networks.
Experience with application network aware firewalls
Experience with Openstack;  VPC, security groups and Keystone management
Excellent knowledge of and skill in troubleshooting: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRRP, HSRP.
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP: tuning and troubleshooting based on best practices and network analytics (packet captures, end system diagnostics, etc).
Extensive experience with hardware load balancing and load balance services architectures/technologies at-scale a huge PLUS: A10, F5 BigIP/LTM/GTM, iRules, SNATs, OneConnect, DSR, SPDY, WebSockets, application hashing, etc.
Experience with Linux and excellent knowledge of core network services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, HTTP).
Experience with programming Python or shell scripting a huge PLUS especially as it relates to SDN.
Experience working with and/or developing network monitoring and trending tools at scale.
Experience in planning and provisioning of datacenter facilities.
Ability to manage long term, project/milestone based work with multiple teams.
Ability to interface with several internal customers simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Additional Skills:
