Job: Lead Android Developer
Duration: 12 month contract
Location: Downtown Denver
Need Strong Lead Android Developer.
They HAVE to have
1) excellent communication skills especially since
2) they are going to be leading a team of 5.
So they must be able to show and talk to their lead experience. Including code reviews.
The soft skills:
1 Need to work core hours of 9A-4P
2. Need to have good code quality
3. Need to be a team fit, team player and have quality driven focus. They are not looking for someone who has a "get it in and get it out" consultative mindset.
Top 3 things he is looking for:
1 Recent use of technologies
2 Likes to see how they have helped and contributed to the application i.e. improved performance by 20%
3 Looks for "gaps" in employment and will ask questions
4 Will look for lead experience on their resume and ask them about it. What did their lead experience entail? Ie. code reviews?

Minimum Qualifications
Be a brilliant developer (non-negotiable) addicted to mobile technology.
Be driven to succeed & be self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision or hand-holding.
Be comfortable providing guidance and leadership to junior developers
3+ years of object oriented programming based development.
6+ years of Java programming experience.
5+ years mobile application development.
Travel required: Minimal
Proficient with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, GIT, MacOS
Thorough understanding of REST-ful API design: You can design and document a client-server protocol, and you can implement the client side of a documented protocol
Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills
Preferred skills
Experience integrating 3rd party source code and/or libraries
Experience consuming .NET, XML and JSON web services
Experience working on agile teams
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development principles and tools for Android
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
Manage risk and change with an agile approach
Adept at learning new technologies quickly
