Position Title : Test Manager
Locations: Torrance, CA
Duration: Long Term Contract

- Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
- Collects and analyzes data for software processes evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs.
- Documents all problems and assists in their resolution -Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.
- Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.
- Publish & Present Weekly Project QA Status to IT management and project team.
- Facilitate/Coordinate Quality Artifact Review meetings.
- Monitor/Track QA deliverables and mentor.
- Create Traceability Matrix.
- Import Requirements and/or Test Cases to Quality Center as required.
- Review Test Plans for content.
- Mentor Client's Staff.
- Review Test Cases for appropriate content.
- Help to facilitate Defect (bug scrub) meetings.
- Manage escalation to resolve conflicts and enforce decisions.
- 3 to 5 years minimum leading software testing teams.
- Minimum 10 yrs. of exp required.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Hands on experience writing test cases.
- Hands on experience interpreting user requirements into test scenarios.
- Familiar with industry best practices as it pertains to Software Quality Assurance (SEI,CMMI, IEEE, ITIL).
- Hands on experience creating software quality deliverables including test plans, traceability matrix, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Experience measuring the progress of software testing activities via appropriate testing metrics.
- Hands on experience with industry standard quality tracking and defect management tools.
- Experience with software testing across development lifecycle including Unit, Integration, System, UAT, Regression, Performance, Load.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as: Redmine, Bugzilla, ClearQuest or Quality Center.
- Quality Assurance certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, good attention to details.
- Experience with HP quality Center is a plus.
- Technical knowledge on Cloud solutions is a plus.
