Position   : ETL Tester
Location  : Portland  Oregon
Duration  : 6+ Months

Must have skills - Data Testing, SQL Testing,ETL Testing,Scrum / Agile

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the effective execution of quality assurance processes within client team. These processes include testscript development, functional test execution, provisioning test environments, and defect documentation and tracking. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with software engineers and product owners to understand the system under test, ensuring that manual and automated functional test cases provide adequate test coverage to minimize the risk of production defects.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Understands and promotes Quality Assurance methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle
2.Stages and verifies test cases through proficient application of simple SQL select statements (select, insert, update, join, union, group by, etc.) used for test verification.
3.Suggests and implements QA process improvements
4.Develops test plans and strategies based on system requirements and design documentation
5.Collaborates with end users and translating their input into testable requirements
6.Implements test automation for established frameworks requiring programing experience (C#, selenium webdriver). Experience programaticaly testing webservices preferred.
7.Identifies, analyzes, and documents system defects
8.Provisions test environments that accurately represent the integrated systems under test
9.Collaborates effectively with remote development and testing resources

Experience: 
•Experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
•Experience with scripting and other programming languages utilized for test verification and automation such as SQL, C#, VB, JavaScript, selenium webdriver, etc.
•Experience developing and executing test plans for ETL testing, with knowledge of 1 or more data integration toolsets (Informatica, SSIS)

Skills/Abilities:
•Strong knowledge of QA processes and methodologies.
•Strong analytical, technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
•Must be organized and detail-oriented and have the ability to understand and communicate technical information.
•Works well in a team environment but can work independently to meet assigned tasks
