Long Term

 

Job duties: 

- Install and configure new or existing virtual servers 

- Create and maintain in-depth documentation of processes and implementations 

- Provide 2nd tier support for client services and servers 

- Provide server patching and upgrade recommendations to clients based on standards provided by the team 

- Help research and develop POC for new technologies and processes

 

Must haves/requirements: 

- Exceptional communication skills and work ethic 

- Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to extrapolate and modify previous issue resolutions and apply to subsequent issues 

- Linux security knowledge including: iptables, selinux, tcpwrappers  VMWare VCenter server implementation and management 

- AWS server implementation and management 

- Redhat kickstart scripting and Satellite server integration 

- Puppet configuration management integration and scripting 

- Experience with SAN and NFS environments Desired Skills: 

-  Familiarity with Debian and Suse Linux 

- Python/Perl Scripting 

- Java application management 

- MySQL and LDAP database management 

- Load balancing techniques including AWS and HAProxy 

- Linux email implementations including Postfix and Sendmail
