JD:
You will be the person directly responsible for the integration of our software with client loyalty and POS systems, starting from initial client meetings, through scoping, to implementation and possible customization, to trouble shooting and final hand over.
Responsibilities:
• Attend meetings with client prospects, acting as the technical resource for solution delivery.
• Work with stakeholders to understand and capture project requirements and to meet project delivery requirements.
• Continuously improve, refine and refactor the code base. A solid foundation in the basics of software development including object-oriented design, debugging, unit testing, and continuous integration is crucial. Can help with technical design and architecture, but balancing that with the primary role of delivery
• Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and/or Restful). Other desirable skill sets: Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel.
• Familiar with consuming and producing web services and enterprise integration concepts in a JBOSS environment (SOA) environment
• Knowledge of continuous integration technologies (Maven, Jenkins, Sonar)
• Ability to use and debug applications running on a Windows/Linux operating systems
• Unit Testing (variations on JUnit)
• Deep understanding in JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap (HTML,CSS), etc.
Experience:
• 5+ years of production software development experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of building extensible back-end application frameworks.
• Good understanding of web application development using HTTP REST, software standards, software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Knowledge of integrating third-party APIs into existing JEE applications (webservices, CORBA, RMI, OSS/J)
• Working knowledge of Web Applications in Client Server environment.
• Direct experience with developing a web services messaging and business logic layer (SOAP and RESTful) and familiarity with WSDL's, JSON, and XML.
• Mid-Level knowledge of DB SQL Skills in a Modern Relational DB (MySQL, Oracle, postgres, BerkleyDB, etc.) – design and development
• SSO/SAML 2.0
• Direct Experience with one or more JEE and Simple Web Containers – Tomcat, Jetty, GlassFish, Jboss, Weblogic
• Knowledge of Java-based BPML Workflow Engines a plus.
