NY(Remote till Coivid-19)Domain : Data RDBMS engineerSkillset : SQL / AWS / KAFCADESCRIPTIONBASIC QUALIFICATIONSData Engineer position works on a central team of Systems Engineers supporting distributed data platforms for our Technical Shared Service development teams and customers.The primary focus of this position will be the onboarding, support and management of non-relational database stores and systems, and the automation of operational and business processes in supporting internet sites and online applications for The Walt Disney Company.Responsibilities include : data technology guidance and consultation, design support, task automation and scripting, best practice and standards development, capacity planning, optimization and tuning, upgrades and migrations, performance management, monitoring, security, backup and recovery, issue troubleshooting, and documentation.Additional tasks as assigned.Excellent technical expertise in relevant state of the art database technologies, stores, systems, and design.Carries out assignments with minimal coaching and guidance from others. Content for ESPN (FETCHING content for that); will work with Data science team to generate the data and few pipelines that needs supporting and replace.The team is responsible for data Platform integrations and accelerate recommendations engineer provides for all Disney brands (ESPN, HULU) etc.Top 5 things mgr is looking for in resume-:Jr and less junior Data engineers; at least 2 years of experienceExperience working with SQL, sequel, rational databases, writing queries on various databases,AWS Cloud, KAFCA, air flow, spunk, must have some experience in one of these technologiesNeeds experience building and optimizing data pipelines.Interview process will be 2 rounds; 1 30 minute phone screen, 1 panel interview.Looking for 4 resources; open to remote candidates, but NEW YORK is highly preferred and will be considered first/given priority.
