· About 7 years of working experience as a VMware Administrator in Data Center Environment running vSphere 5.0/4.1/4.0, VMware Infrastructure 3.5 and 3.0.
· Around 8 years of experience as a System Administrator in Windows Environment (2008/2003/2000/NT).
· Extensive experience in working with ESX servers – configuration, Installation, management and maintenance.
· Excellent experience and knowledge with designing installing and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual center, setting up vMotion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VM Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup products and other products for virtualization
· Extensive experience in upgrading ESX hosts and working with VMware modules – VI Client, vCentre Update Manager, vCentre Converter, Host profiles, Administrating VM’s, vStandard switches, VDistributed switch, recovery modules, resource and performance monitoring.
· Extensive experience in building windows based servers (NT/2000/2003/2008) and managing entire Active Directory (Users, groups, FSMO roles, replication), LDAP services.
· Extensive experience in windows server modules RODC, IIS, Group policies, Security policies, DNS, DHCP, Backups and Restores, windows 2003 Failover Clustering, WSUS, Multiple Doman Trusting and many other windows products.
· Good experience with installing/configuring and troubleshooting SRM 4.5 for DR projects and administrating multiple labs in Lab Manager and dealing with Lab Manager Issues
· Experience in setting up of Nodes, clusters, Data Sources, Virtual Hosts.
· Extensive experience in all forms of backup and recovery modules in windows server and VMware environments.
· Good experience working on VMware View 4.0 and Site Recovery Manager 4.0
· Experience in working with resource and performance monitoring tools for VM’s, Servers and VMware infrastructure.
· Installing VMware tools and Upgrading VMware tools on Windows Machines and Linux Machines. Decommissioning Virtual Machines according to Service Request. Creating and Configuring VM’s and Preparing Build Verification list’s for provisioned VM’s.
· Implementation of third party tools across the Datacenter like Symantec Backup Exec 10, 11, vRanger pro for backups, Trend Micro IWSS, IMSS for antivirus and security, and applications related to Windows, security, mail servers, Tape drives, Monitoring, troubleshooting and Ticketing tools.
· Hardware Experience on servers like Cisco UCS /HP C7000 blade administration.
· Design and implementation of global monitoring solution using SCOM, HP SIM and Dell Open Manage.
· Process-oriented thinker with an aptitude for analyzing the roles of people and business systems
· Adapt at learning new skills and adapting to new situations as dictated by changing business goals
