They are converting to a new job scheduling tool, but as part of this… want to refactor the majority of scheduled jobs. Scheduled jobs include quite a bit of logic, so there are a lot of complex problems for this role to help solve. This role will be involved in the design of the new jobs, and will then be responsible for executing, documenting and transitioning the jobs to the long-term support owner. Looking for someone who is fast paced, likes solving problems, is willing to take ownership over this conversion and will have good communication with both the business as well as IT team. Financial industry experience is a must!
ETL\Workflow Developer
Artisan Partners is seeking an ETL\Workflow Developer to work with the applications team. The position would be responsible for converting, refactoring and documentation of ETL scripts and workflows from one scheduling platform to another. The resource will also be responsible for identifying and implementing refactoring opportunities for non-standard workflows. In addition, the resource would contribute to the maintenance and enforcement of documentation, standards and best practices surrounding the workflows and downstream systems.
Candidate Profile:
- 1 – 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies
- 1 – 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with a specific emphasis on using SSIS as a primary ETL technology
- 1 – 3 years of experience with reporting technologies with a specific emphasis on using SSRS
- Experience with enterprise job scheduling software. Tidal or ActiveBatch are a plus
- Ability to serve in a consulting role with other teams as well as perform training on workflows or systems
- Experience documenting business and technical workflows.
- Experience working on a small team as a self-starter in a highly entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
- Formal education at the undergraduate level in computer science or other related information system degree
