Job Description:
The Systems Programmer works to provide a stable-operating environment for the information technology needs of the business, and offers technical leadership to facilitate the practical and economical use of available technology. 
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities Installs software operating systems, subsystems and products, using SMP/E or required methodology. 
Performs software tailoring to build application environments. 
Provides support for installed software and changes, and on-call support for problem resolution as required. 
Performs day-to-day operational tasks, performance monitoring and tuning functions, and general troubleshooting. 
Plans and performs implementation of software systems, and subsystems, maintenance and support changes, coordinating with appropriate personnel. 
Provides clear and accurate documentation of procedures, problem resolutions and changes. Acts as a technical resource for IT, e-Business and other system users. 
Uses all available resources to resolve problems and technical questions, including vendor support, technical manuals and web-based documentation, service aids and support tools.
Senior level Programmers provide training to co-workers and others within the department as required. 
Attends training classes to acquire and develop further knowledge and skills in operating systems, software subsystems and application environments to allow for the best support in a fast changing IT environment. 
Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies mission and values and adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct. 
Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures. 
Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required. 
Performs other functions as assigned by management. 

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
A minimum of ten years' experience for level 2. 
Knowledge of operating systems, system architecture, data processing concepts. 
Concentrated knowledge and experience in one or more software operating systems or subsystems.
