Sr. User Interface / Java Developer (ActionScript / Flex, JavaScript, Java)

Design and implement user experiences for enterprise-call, data intensive applications across a range of UI technologies. Apply your knowledge of Adobe Flex/ActionScript, Java/J2EE, and web development technologies to enhance enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

You will apply defined UI standards to the specific technologies used within an application, convert business and system requirements into UI designs for yourself and others, mockup new features and applications for collaborative review with stakeholders and developers, mentor other developers on proper UI design via Flex, investigate new UI technologies and recommend technical direction for UI technologies.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate Web presentation and server-side technologies (primarily related to Flex, Java/J2EE) based on product needs and industry trends

Perform hands-on software design and development in ActionScript, Flex, Actionscript, Java/J2EE, Spring BlazeDS and SQL.

Technical Qualifications: 

5+ years of experience in user interface development, including 4+ years of Flex SDK 3 and/or Flex SDK 4 and ActionScript programming experience, and Data services such as BlazeDS

5+ years of experience in Java / J2EE environment

Experience with core UI technologies: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML& XSL

Experience with JavaScript frameworks / libraries; such as jQuery, Angular

Experience with connectivity to large enterprise scale Oracle database systems

Familiarity with build and code generation tools (e.g. Maven, Ant, Visual Studio)

Experience with test-driven development with FlexUnit, JUnit, NUnit

Professional Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree required

Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to author technical and application design documents

Experience collaborating with senior technical staff
