Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Bloomington, MN

Duration: 6+ Months Contract to Hire.

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

This position is involved with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Internet, Intranet, and Client Server applications. This person will manage midsized to large projects; ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are aligned with project plans. The person in this position will partner with vendors to integrate products and services into company web architecture.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Participate in the development and communication of DevOps principles and activities.
• Monitor application performance and make metrics available for our project teams and leadership.
• Designs and conducts application tests, including load/stress and performance.
• Troubleshoots development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms; identified as a subject matter expert.
• Partners with vendors to ensure appropriate data and system integration for upgrades and implementations.
• Participates within disaster recovery testing; ensuring that disaster recovery plans are updated and maintained.
• Oversees and reviews data flow diagrams for accuracy; recommending enhancements for more efficient and effective data flow processes within the application.
• Reviews and provides input on vended contractual agreements.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent understanding of system infrastructure and integration of proposed code changes into that infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of the LAN and WAN network
• Strong understanding of core operating systems and platforms
• Experience utilizing UNIX (VI, Korn Shell)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
• 4+ years experience in object oriented development using Java(JSP/Servlet, Java Beans, EJB) technologies
• 1+ year enterprise DevOps experience
