The Salesforce Testing Engineer will be a member of the Salesforce agile delivery team and be responsible for designing, developing and executing end-to-end functional tests, integration tests, and regression tests of desktop Salesforce solutions. They will write, execute and document test cases, track defects, validate and close defects, and provide input on quality issues and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints, and effectively advocate for the best possible customer experience of product quality within those parameters.
• Collaborate with business and technical team members to understand business and technical objectives for each user story and feature.
• Determine user story testing requirements by reviewing story acceptance criteria and eliciting, analyzing, and specifying test scenarios.
• Develop and document test cases and create test suites within the Zephyr software testing tool.
• Develop and execute manual functional tests and manual integration tests to validate user stories meet acceptance criteria.
• Identify regression tests that are candidates for automation.
• Execute regression tests to ensure existing functionality remains working as designed prior to each Salesforce release.
• Log defects in the Jira defect tracking tool, collaborate with Salesforce developers to resolve defects, retest failed test scenarios, and close defects once remediated.
• Report and communicate testing progress to the Salesforce QA Lead.
• Review test results with QA lead, Product Owner and Solution Owner.
• Participate in agile team ceremonies including acceptance criteria reviews, sprint planning, daily standups, demos and retrospectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Salesforce CRM Sales Cloud testing experience.
• Experience participating in the testing efforts for a Salesforce implementation.
• Experience working as a member of an agile delivery (Scrum or SAFe) team.
• Experience in testing and defects management.
• Experience with a Testing tool – ALM, Zephyr, TFS, or equivalent.
• Experience with the creation of test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Experience developing and executing Salesforce functional and integration tests.
• Experience maintaining a regression test library.
• Experience with automation tools – Selenium, Provar, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to create test scenarios and acceptance tests against Agile User Stories.
• Experience with manual web services and API testing (REST).
• Experience creating and executing SQL queries and creating test data sets.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates clear and concise communication.
