Location: Cary, NC

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Relevant Experience  (in Yrs)      8-10 years

Technical/Functional Skills           

1. Solutions         Responsible for building and delivering of specific IS solutions/services as advised.

Ensures effective management of ERP services from the CoE by defining internal processes, KPI's and also covering SLA / OLA management (with internal and external parties).

Defines and continuously Improves internal process management and compliance, demand planning & delivery management.

Coordinate the CoE team to support the day to day delivery of SAP solutions in the areas of design and build.

2. IS Delivery      Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of CoE ERP Services provided to the country organization in order to deliver ERP projects to time, budget and quality aligned to global delivery;

Defines, creates and reviews service level reports according with the SLA's/OLA's defined for customers and vendors. Continuous improvement of the OLA in collaboration with stakeholders.

Defines and delivers the actions needed to improve the quality of the service and keep it aligned with the business needs

Coordinates the CoE to be able to respond to change and project requests to fulfill demands from the business.

Collaboration with Service Management and Application Run to define and improve on the Application Run OLA

Collaborates with Application Run, for operational introduction of a new release

Maintain change backlog for applications, supports the decision on the execution of changes in application(s) and interacts with change/release manager to support the allocation of items to releases.

Coordinates and plans the different delivery teams' actions on the application(s)

Evaluates end user satisfaction.

3. Processes       Leads the process of reviewing the status and quality of the service along with the regional ERP CoE management.

Delivers improvements and innovation of service delivery for the ERP CoE

Collaborates with all relevant parts of the ERP CoE, AppRUN and Midland organization to gather improvement and service innovation opportunities.

4. IS Standards  Ensures satisfaction with CoE ERP Services by assessing expectations, verifying that actions are taken to close any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of CoE service.

Supports to ensure work in the application is aligned and compliant with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines. Notably ABB IS Guidelines and Directive, which specifically reference IS service delivery.

5. Budget

                Manages assigned budget, if any, effectively and delivers activities within agreed schedules and costs. On request, participates in the definition of costs and schedules.

Manages and is accountable for overall adherence to the budget for ERP services

6. Stakeholder Management      Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.

Interacts with the ERP CoE leadership and supports them in decision making

In collaboration with ERP CoE leadership manages relationships with stakeholders to update status, resolve issues, and manage expectations for assigned application.

7.Incident, Change or Project     Supports the planning and execution of projects.

Coordinates and plans the team to provide change capacity to support delivery of an end-to-end solution to support a project, according to OLA

Coordinates orchestrating the deployment in the production environment of Projects, Releases and Changes

8. Governance  Ensures the country CoE ERP organization adheres to IS process framework and governance model

Oversight to ensure effective interaction between the functional analysts, release and change managers and solution architects and workforce managers in order to  1) determine the proper resources forecast in the short, medium and long term and 2)  assure that correct  resource allocation based on the project portfolio and changes backlog

Coordinates with Workforce Management to continuously improve workforce planning & allocation  processes.

               

9. Principal working relationship                Reviews periodically along with the regional ERP CoE Manager the quality of the AMS Services from external IS suppliers and defines together action plans to improve it

Collaboration with Service Management and Application Run to define and improve on the Application Run OLA

Collaborate with country ERP managers to understand demands and capacity requests

               

Experience Required     

•             Generic Project manager with 8-10 years of experience. SAP background is a plus.

 

Roles & Responsibilities               

•             Responsible for project sponsor satisfaction with project delivery and functionality.

•             Responsible for ensuring projects follow IT's standard project development methodology and that the project conforms to IT defined standards for security and technical architecture.

•             Directs the project process, assigns responsibilities / tasks to team members, and consults with subject matter experts as needed.

•             Maintains the project workbook (risks, issues, decision log, team contact list, calendar, etc)

•             Coordinates and manages all necessary communications in order to drive the project through the project delivery process (status meetings, defect review meetings, project report outs, risk review and escalations, supplier review, etc).

•             Manages and/or executes the business readiness activities (training, user set up in test and production clients, request and test security changes to support the project, etc)

•             Facilitates and supports compliance requirements and process requirements

•             Fully manages the time, quality, communication, risk and procurement management (statement of work, e-auction) elements of the project.

•             Engages leadership and stakeholders at appropriate intervals for the risk, complexity, criticality of the project

Generic Managerial Skills             

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the solution that is implemented satisfies the business requirements and delivers the value required by the business. The Project Manager monitors the Scope of Work, Project plan, schedule, and budget and is responsible for ensuring that deliverables and milestones are met and that the project is completed on time, within budget and to the customer's satisfaction. The Project Manager plays a key role throughout he project life cycle.

Education            4-year degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
