Job Description :
Hands-on expertise with Design and Engineering for cloud-native / serverless development on AWS
Knowledge with practical experience applying techniques to adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Extensive experience with event-based architecture constructs and languages including Java and Python, JSON, GraphQL and REST, and [nice to have] Apache Velocity Template Language ( "VTL ")
Experience with with following AWS service groupings:
Compute : Lambda (Pure Serverless Compute) and ECS Fargate (Serverless Containers)
Integration Gateway : API Gateway (REST) and AppSync (GraphQL)
Database and Storage : DynamoDB (NoSql) and S3 (Object)
Data Analytics and Processing: Glue, Spark
Events and Messaging : Kinesis Data Streams , Kinesis Firehouse , SQS and SNS
 
Additional Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with the following AWS Service groupings:
Identity & Security : IAM , KMS , Secrets Manager
Observability, Logging, Monitoring : CloudTrail , CloudWatch and XRay
IaC/CICD : CloudFormation and CICD tools like CodePipeline , Jenkins , GoCD, and/or AzureDevOps
Great communication skills, especially verbal; must be comfortable speaking their mind and working with others
People will be working on both "data engineering " as well as "application/api development ". Team will need a Tech Lead, Sr Engineers, and Jr Engineers. All of the services/skills listed above, but quantity of years and level of deep understanding with these things will vary.
