Job Description
Seeking a Quality Assurance Lead for a multiple year position in Brooklyn, NY. Selected candidate will perform a key role leading testing phases for a platform designed to help New Yorkers in need. This position requires onsite availability from day one in Brooklyn, NY.
***Applicants must be prepared to work onsite in Brooklyn, NY.
Position: Selected candidate will lead testing efforts for the City of New York's emergency 911 call answering system project and will use extensive experience in manual and automation testing.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 12 years of QA analyst experience with three years in a lead role.
- Must have experience as a QA lead in projects from requirements gathering phase through successful deployment including production support.
- Experience in reviewing and understanding business and technical requirements, defining test strategy, preparing and executing test plans
- Experience leading all test phases of software lifecycle such as ATP, SAT, UAT, SIT
- Experience with testing tools and test automation tools including Selenium with Java programming language
- Experience with generating reports including executive status reporting, preparing senior level technical reports for executive management
- BS/BA undergraduate degree.
- Experience reporting results using test management tools such as Jira, HP/ALM, or GitHub.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Understanding the role of Black box and White box testing
- Test documentation experience
- Team player as well as has the ability to work independently, and experience working with remote teams
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
- Supervising and overseeing the planning and execution of testing activities.
- Ensuring high quality in design, execution, and test resolution.
- Leading test teams and ensuring requirements are testable, and that test cases are complete.
- Leading the design and deployment of testing best practices and methodologies.
- Leading test planning and development of Integration & Test Management.
