Requested Role-System Engineer

 

Job Title: Sr. AIX Admin

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 4 months

 

 

Skills Required

 

Ø      Project leadership ability including mapping out technical and business dependencies, milestones and timelines.

Ø      Highly driven, self-motivated, and able to collaborate effectively with multiple teams across the IS division, vendors, and industry   specialists.

Ø      Strategic thinker who is able to balance short and long-term deliverables.

Ø      Image customization and auditing, using scripting to further customization.

Ø      Articulate and persuasive with excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.

 

Experience Required

 

Ø      BA/BS Degree in MIS/Computer Science or a related field with AIX Unix Server experience (7-9 years).

Ø      Exposure to the unique challenges involved in standardizing and supporting an large scale computing environment.

Ø      Proven implementation and troubleshooting ability utilizing multiple technologies (network, desktop, server, database).

Ø      Good understanding of enterprise server security technologies, networking & security protocols, authentication schemes and technologies, operating system.

Ø      Experience in automating server image configuration and management.

Ø      Hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.

 

Optional Skills

 

Ø      Well-versed in various aspects and components of Unix infrastructure, including debug and root cause analysis.

Ø      Experience architecting and managing one more or larger scale projects, competitive platform upgrades and migrations.

Ø      Knowledge and experience using ITIL processes.

Ø      Project oversight responsibilities and mentoring of engineer consultants.

Ø      Subject matter experience in QA/test engineering process.
