Stystems Engineer with extensive real world experience diagnosing complex Oracle/VERITAS/NETAPP cluster
environments running on Solaris/SUN RISC platform(M5000, V490) and LINUX/SUN Blade X6000
Intel platform.
Goals would include:
- Examine current configuration, identify issues that may affect stability and performance of current
environment and make recommendations.
- Create architecture and technology roadmap for host to storage connectivity i.e. FCOE, iSCSI,
FCIP, etc… that will simplify environment and achieve desired IO performance.
- Recommend best practices for SUN/VERITAS/NETAPP/MDS cluster/host configuration.
Key Skills:
Deep understanding and practical experience (5+ years) in the interaction of storage components;
VERITAS Storage foundation (Volume Manager); VERITAS Cluster; Solaris; Cisco MDS; NETAPP
storage; Fiber Channel; host HBA cards; SUN SPARC hardware; and how to deliver and manage a
storage environment
