Title: QC Tester
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration: 6 Months
Requirements:
· 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
· Very strong SQL skills. PL/SQL and PostGreSQ.
· Experience engineering and maintaining test data for functional testing of business requirements.
· Day-to-day use of HP Quality Center to manage the test effort.
· Hands-on experience in automating backend tests.
· Responsible for test artifacts – Test Plan, RTM, Test Cases, Test Report.
· Comfortable using StarTeam (or similar tool) for revision control and task management.
· Experience testing non-functional and operational aspects of a system.
· Track record of continuous improvement i.e., provides feedback on requirements and code, as well as test artifacts and the testing process.
· Experience reviewing requirements for testability.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills – will need to work with onshore and offshore team members.
· Working knowledge of UNIX and UNIX shell scripting.
· Experience with data-driven test methodologies.
· Highly motivated and proactive.
· Detail orientated.
