Sharepoint developer / Administration

Duration: 6 months

Location: Raleigh NC

We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to be responsible for designing and building the Crime Control & Public Safety (CCPS) public website based on criteria developed by the internal stakeholders. This person would work closely with leadership to understand and develop requirements for the next generation CCPS websites.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have excellent design skills.

• Experience with Agile (SCRUM) is a major plus.

• Communicate with both technical and non-technical staff to support analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of project issues as related to usability and design

• Experience in corporate branding, web graphics creation, web site layout, and web site design required

• Must have experience developing advanced custom SharePoint webparts

• Knowledge of .Net C# & object oriented design concepts

• Knowledge of relational database development concepts

• Understands taxonomies, navigation principles and corporate portal design best practices

• Building Public Corporate websites and collaboration solutions using MS SharePoint MOSS

• Experience with designing and deploying Public facing websites – Internet, Extranet and Intranet sites

• Proficient with CSS, HTML, Adobe Photoshop or equivalent professional graphics tool is a plus

• Experience with SharePoint 2007 content management and publishing

• Experience in SharePoint designer is a major plus

• Demonstrated experience developing web sites using the latest technology, for example, Dynamic HTML and JavaScript required

• Converting existing content, sites, services into SharePoint 2007

• Meets project deadlines and likes working in a fast paced environment

• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work as a team player

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure

• Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills

• Work directly with application development to create style guidelines and standards

 

All candidates will need to supply examples of other web design work
