ROLE: JAVA TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Location(State/city):Georgia GA/ATLANTA
Duration: 12+ months

 

Must be local or willing to do a F2F at own expense
 
Req Details:
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of eight (8) years in developing Java applications.

 Minimum of two (2) years in architecting large enterprise class projects/products

Experience in designing and developing software products.

Solid understanding and hands-on skills in J2EE architecture and design patterns.

Experience with advanced OOA/OOD techniques to design enterprise applications leveraging industry best practices.

Experience in UML modeling and use case driven development

Experience in current versions of JBoss application server.

Experience with XML related technologies including XSLT and SOAP.

Good understanding and experience in relational databases (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server)

Experience in integrating J2EE applications with legacy systems. Knowledge of popular open source frameworks

Experience in security systems and frameworks (JAAS, LDAP)

Experience in offshore – onsite development teams · Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services · Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple platforms or languages · Familiarity with internet protocols such as http(s), SOAP , XML over http/https · System architecture and development experience in a high transaction/high availability systems.

 

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

· Sun Certified Java Programmer certification is desirable

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Essential Functions):

· Design, develop and maintain technology solutions for POS systems.

· Working with project and business analyst leads to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements.

· Working with senior management to establish technical soundness of the solutions.

· Using and improving the productivity of the development processes.

· Leading design and architecture discussions.

· Working with management to estimate the level of effort, resource needs, and project duration.

· Establishing and enforcing coding standards.

 · Evaluating tools and technologies and establishing technology standards

· Troubleshooting and debugging applications and providing fixes in a timely manner.

· Providing technical leadership, clarity and direction for on-site and offshore development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS: · Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Object Oriented Programming

· Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple platforms or languages

· Ability to interact with Management and Software Developers, onsite and offshore.

· Hands-on skills in Java/J2EE architecture and development.

· Ability to interact at a technical and non-technical level with Infrastructure, Network, Development, BA and QA teams.
