Role: Network Administrator 

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Open 

Location: Scranton PA

The Network Administrator will support the stable operation of the corporate computer network. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware and software while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also diagnose and resolve network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The network administrator will also assist and guide the help desk technicians with desktop and laptop support calls. 

 

•           Determining security requirements including but not limited to; security plan, administering antivirus software and updates, firewall management, OS level patches and updates, and reporting

 

•           Ensuring database availability and system security, backups, access, and policies

 

•           Performing technical tasks required to deploy servers, and other types of hardware, and computer networks

 

•           Assemble and update documentation in the form of trouble ticket logs, network diagrams, and monthly reports

 

•           Provide technical assistance to internal/external customers.

 

•           Coordinate with network service providers to resolve system outages.

 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Five+ year's technical experience in network administration
• Experience with a variety Laptops, Desktops and Server hardware
• The administrator should be experienced supporting Microsoft Windows server OS's, Microsoft Exchange. MS SQL and IIS server.  
• Prior experience supporting Citrix and VMware is also desired. 
• Strong network troubleshooting skills are required.
