Project details:

 

Our client has an immediately need for a Sr. Mainframe Systems Analyst with extensive mainframe experience.  This person will have to work fairly independently to create solutions to complex business and technical problems.  This person will have to take initiative and bring solutions to the table, not problems.  High level of analytical and problem solving skills are necessary.

 

Required Skills:

-          8+ years of Cobol, DB2, and JCL experience

-          Analytical and problem solving skills

-          Must be able to work independently and take initiative

             -          Banking or financial services experience

 

Desired Skills:

-          Any experience with credit/debit card systems is a big plus

One of the keys is they need someone very strong who can create solutions to complex business problems. The manager does not have time to really manage this person, so he needs someone very independent who can take initiative.  This is not just a sit in the corner and code role, it's a create solutions and be resourceful type of position.
