QUALIFICATIONS
•7 years of experience in database development
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills
•Exceptional Oracle SQL skills. Hands on experience with set based operations, analytic functions and query hints.
•Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques.
•Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting.
•Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouse.
•Experience with Medicaid or healthcare industry.
•Experience with Perl, system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery and networking.
•Technophile with command of the command line.

•Understand and translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions.
•Code ETL scripts that will extract data from an operational database and populate the target data warehouse.
•Develop shell scripts for production job automation.
•Work in a 24x7 environment which requires on-call rotation.
•Provide query writing support and tuning expertise to end users.
•Document code and processes for distribution to all interested parties.
•Design scheme for extracting data from various transactional databases.
•Design scheme for transforming and loading that data into the data warehouse.
•Document design using industry standard artifacts for documenting data warehouse designs.
•Previous experience with ETL tools, preferable Informatica
