| Responsibilities | · Hands-on coding/development will be a must · Work with developers as well as on: o System technical design o Including defining views o Classes o Entity models o Design patterns · Selecting 3rd party controls and components · Define and implement modeling strategy for the project · Conduct daily code, design and process reviews, including code sampling design reviews, code profiling, unit test reviews and process adherence for source code control and builds · Mentor development team members on WPF, MCCM, ORM and other topics that arise. · Resolve any complex design issues that come up · On call for application support · Set the technical direction for the project and responsibility to ensure its successful implementation. Ensure project design supports business requirements, corporate guidelines, and industry best practices. · Lead development and presentation of project deliverables to PMO and IT leadership. |
| Required Skills | · 7 or more years' experience building business applications from concept to execution including designing and developing a .NET application. · Candidate must be hands-on with coding in C# and understand .Net frameworks and libraries. · Architected and built at least one rich-client-based (i.e. client-server) application using WPF on .NET 3.5 or later which fully utilized the MVVM design pattern and used Prism/Composite Guidance from Microsoft patterns & practices · Modeled, architected, built, and analyzed and tuned performance of multiple SQL Server database schemas, with a least one having at least 250 tables · Reverse-engineered and refactored an existing SQL Server production database · Architected and built a .NET-based system that fully utilized ORM, preferably using Microsoft Entity Framework, and ideally Entity Framework 4. · Architected and built a .NET-based system that fully utilized LINQ to Entities · Architected and built a .NET-based system that fully utilized third-party UI controls. · Application modernization experience · Delivered a system to a global user base, which included optimized balance between server-side processing and client-side processing, and also took into account network bandwidth and reliability limitations in order to deliver the best possible user experience · Global deployment packaging. Experience with automated testing, automated build, and test-driven development tools. · Solid understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the PowerBuilder platform · Serialization and caching strategies to optimize performance and maintainability. · Proven experience and thorough understanding of client server technologies, business concepts, security issues, and networking standards. |
