QA Engineer

 

Location : Mountain View, CA

 

Duration: 3 months contract to start with

 

Interview type: Phone screen followed by in person

 

Duties :  Client's Trust services Engineering Org. (part of Authentication BU) is looking for QA engineers for their new Security encryption project initiative. This requires working in multiple, cross functional environments and solving complex software problems in addition to debugging prowess for hard to reproduce customer issues.

This Engineer must be able to create testplans, excecute testcases, report test status and write automation using Java/Selenium/TestNg. He/She will be a Team player contributing to the new Security encryption project collaborating with peer engineers and across Teams in coming up with effective problem solutions. We need a self-starter who is not hesitant to trek ambiguous paths, taking the necessary steps to engineer innovative solutions, but at the same time having a keen eye for modifying existing solutions to meet new requirements. Implements software quality plans, evaluates quality standards, analyzes test results and recommends corrective action.

 

Skills

·         Ability to identify, record and troubleshoot defects effectively.Ability to generate and implement test plans within current guidelines.

·         Ability to use programming best practices to create reusable, extensible tests and automation code for a particular product.

·         Especially experience with Java, Selenium is a requirement.

·         Performs tool development and test automation tasksWorks with development to create the necessary hooks in our products to aid in the creation of automation.

·         experience testing networking on windows is necessary. 

·         Can have experience either test networks or setting them up, but must have thorough knowledge of windows networking.

·         Knowledge of Security protocols in SSL/TLS, OCSP and Cryptography (SHA1, SHA2, RSA, DSA, ECC, Symmetric KeyPKI standards including X509, PKCS family, PCKS#11) is a plus.

        

Education  BS or Equivalent, plus 4+ yrs. experience in SQA.
