Position: Teradata DBA

Location: Columbus, OH, West Chester, PA, Hackensack, NJ, San Francisco, CA & Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 Months +

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

Ø  Teradata database admin

Ø  Teradata view point 

Ø  Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 database support

Ø  Monitor incident ticket queue and troubleshoot and resolve database incidents within SLAs

Ø  Monitor backup results and resolve/troubleshoot failed database backups

Ø  Monitor storage capacity and consumption, trend long term usage, and proactively work with Architecture group to plan capacity expansion

Ø  Monitor database and server performance and identify current and future potential bottle-necks - PDCR & DBQL

Ø  Support application upgrades of third party software, where a database is a part of the vendor's implementation

Ø  Maintain documentation store of DBA operational policies and procedures
