Position: Core Java Developer

Location: NYC, NY (Locals needed)

Duration: Contract

Interviews on Saturday/ Sunday

Rate: $55-$60/hr on C2C(all inclusive)

NOTE: The selected candidate can operate remotely anywhere from NY.

Job Description:

Someone with good core Java experience, someone who in the past has "dealt with large scale applications" and not necessarily from a gaming domain (someone who has worked on large scale Banking Financial Services & Insurance, ecommerce domain will do)

Expert at one or more of these skills:

* Java Web Frameworks (Jetty, Tomcat, Spring)

* Databases (MongoDB, MySQL)

* Message buses (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Tibco, JMS, AMQP)

Qualifications

• Professional development experience in Java

• Broad understanding of scalable server technology and techniques

• Excellent debugging and optimization skills working in a multi-threaded environment

• Ability to write technical design documents which other engineers can implement

• Strong creative problem solving abilities

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent

* Familiarity with the LAMP stack

Competencies

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment

• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions

• Demonstrates dependability and commitment to projects/tasks

• Culture of continuous learning, ability and hunger to take on new challenges

• Can stay cool under pressure and make smart decisions even in high stress situations
