ROLE: SQL DBA with Replication Experience

Location: Columbia,MD

6 Months

Rate: $60/hr

 

REQUIREMENT:

 

•         6+ years of SQL Server database administration experience

•         Administrative experience in SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008 & 

SQL Server 2008 R2

•         Highly skilled in Replication

•         Capable to take heavy work load 

•         Communicate with Team members effectively and efficiently.

•         In-depth knowledge in Security management

•         Database Administration/ Management - Installation, upgrade, 

backup/restore and maintenance of Database Systems

•         Experience in database upgrade from SQL Server 2000 to 2008

•         Experience in designing, installing, and supporting SQL Server 

2008 R2

•         Experience in database Cluster (SQL 2005, 2008 & 2008R2)

•         Experience in Log shipping

•         Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and drive to be 

successful; ability to work with minimal supervision.

•         Experienced in supporting production environment and also 

coordinating with developers for development environment

•         Experienced in ticketing model of work system

•         Experienced in monitoring and resolving issues like space, job 

failure, system performance etc from monitoring tools

•         Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience

•         Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills with the 

ability to quickly identify and solve database errors or performance 

bottlenecks.

•         Extensive index and query tuning on high-transaction systems.

•        Willingness to work in night shifts
