Title: HL7 Interface Developer 

Location: Franklin, TN 

Duration: 6+ Months 

 

Job Description:

•Hands on technical knowledge of McKesson PIM/Quovadx Platform V (Cloverleaf) integration engine

•Hands on technical experience with Mirth Interface Engine technology are beneficial. 

•Experience with Tool Command Language (TCL) and Java Script programming. 

•Implementation of bi-directional interfaces from multi-hospital HIS System(s) and associated clinical and financial systems, such as Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, and other ancillary systems

•Development of interfaces that have included ADTs, Orders, Order Status Updates, Add-on Orders, Results, Charges and Transcription

•Lead or participated in successful install or upgrade of an integration engine, including risk analysis, testing, monitoring, and evaluation of the anticipated outcomes

•Authored or maintained technical documentation used for all phases of integration:  analysis, design, development, unit testing, integrated testing, go-live support, change control and downtime procedures

•3+ years of experience using an integration engine in a multi-hospital healthcare production (live) environment.

•Familiarity with McKesson, Pro-Med, and HMS healthcare applications

•Strong knowledge and skills to support communication protocols and standards for HL7, X12 and XML

•Strong knowledge to create, modify and test message structures, events and connections

•Strong knowledge of batch processes and configurations involving polling, automation and scheduling

•Strong knowledge of real-time interface spooling, archiving, traces, connectivity, client/server configuration, pseudo connections, routing, mapping, filtering, translations and error exception handling

•Ability to ensure test and training environments sustain a high level of synchronization and integrity with the production (live) environments

•Fundamental knowledge of network architecture, servers, redundancy and clustering

•Fundamental knowledge of database management, TCP/IP, SNA, FTP and messaging services

•Demonstrated ability to engage in and complete multiple concurrent projects

•Excellent oral and written communication, technical writing skills.

•Demonstrates Service Excellence in daily interactions with business partners, vendors and Integration Team members
