Job Description:

Client is looking to replace a legacy application and has a need to interface existing mainframe systems with a new server based eligibility system. The Technical Specialist (TS) will be responsible for leading and coordinating all Test/QA related tasks including Planning, prioritization and execution of all these tasks. Besides working with the core project team, the Technical Specialist will also work with the Systems Integrator.

The TS will be able to:

-Demonstrate ability of high levels of interpersonal and communication skills. 5+years

-Demonstrate ability of Self-motivation, self-direction, and able to work with little or no supervision. 5+years

-Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. 5+years

-Accurately prepare written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.

- Provide analyst skills for multiple systems related to ELIAS.

- Trace and document data flows by reading & analyzing JCL, COBOL programs, CICS definitions, IBM and 3rd party utility control cards, Easytrieve/Dyl280/Culprit type programs, and other common mainframe data manipulation processes.

- Extract and document Business Rules embedded in COBOL (CICS and Batch) programs, third party utilities, and other data manipulation products.  This includes both business and functional aspects of the business rules.

- Create and document describing the data transformation for every data element over a specific period of time (daily, weekly, monthly).

- Define and document existing Business Processes.

- The emphasis is on Systems (Technical) Analysis, but prior Mainframe Development Experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM etc., is a must. Knowledge of IBM Rational toolset is a plus.

Responsibility for supervising the entire interface team & all interface testing, coordinating the testing efforts  Required 10 Years

Experience managing a large testing initiative in a mainframe (COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM etc.,) and web based environment Required 10 Years

Lead/Manage the QA team and testing resources Required 10 Years

Report global status and risk analysis to top management Required 7 Years

Responsible for establishing a QA Test Plan Required 7 Years

Oversee the development of QA test scenarios and test cases Required 7 Years

Develop QA test scenarios and test cases for complex interfaces Required 7 Years

Oversee the execution of QA testing activities Required 7 Years

Monitor and report QA progress of testing execution, testing coverage, defect identification and resolution Required 7 Years
