Skills Required and Job Description:

Interview Mode: F2F required after telephonic

Requirements / Qualifications:

General:

  •  Minimum 5 - 7 years Performance testing experience on an enterprise-scaled ecommerce platform
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Strong performance, high-availability and disaster recovery test experience preferred
  • Experience managing resources & processes to deliver 
 Performance Testing / Automation / Process:
  • Experience in automating web and back-end service tests using a variety of tool sets
  • Experience reading production monitoring logs
  • Demonstrated coding experience (1 - 3 years), particularly in the area of building/extending hands free automated tests (Java preferred, but experience in scripting or coding in some language is a must)
  • Experience solving problems (e.g., text manipulation, sorting, test data management, log analysis) with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Groovy, UNIX shell)
  • Experience with open-source tools
  • Experience with Release Management process/methodology
  • Experience using source control (e.g. Subversion (SVN), CVS…)
  • Strong ability to identify and isolate bugs through direct testing, log analysis, data manipulation, etc
  • Experience using LoadComplete, LoadUI to perform capacity & performance testing

 Communication / Critical Thinking:

  • A demonstrated ability to clearly articulate an idea, concept, or position on topics within the QA/Test and Operations Management domains
  • The ability to make well-reasoned decisions by carefully listening to and critically evaluating evidence and arguments made by members of the team you will be working with.
  • The ability to convincingly argue a position or decision by organizing and presenting empirical evidence and your reasoning in clear, concise language
  • The capacity to recognize, after vigorous discussion and thought, when to abandon or alter your position and direction in deference to the evidence and a more persuasive argument
  • Proven ability to write concise, complete, well organized bug reports, test cases, and status reports

 Server Knowledge:

  • Prior experience with server administration, including server starts/stops, log and process monitoring as well as data forensic techniques
  • Prior experience with managing web server configuration files
