Job Description:
Design, code, test, and support mission critical software systems that monitor, control, and analyze electric utility distribution networks. Position requires B.S. in Computer Science or other related engineering field; 5+ years application programming experience that includes development, debugging, and performance tuning in both Windows or UNIX environment using Java desktop application in Java 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6. Experience using JDBC and Swing with middleware interfaces is required. Experience with other user interface technologies like WPF is desirable. Experience with Oracle, C/C++, UNIX shell scripting are highly desirable. The candidate must be able to capture requirements through customer meetings, translate requirements into functional design specifications, and communicate with customers on field support issues.
