Title : Storage Admin

Location : Thousand Oaks, CA

Duration : 6+ months

 

Responsibilities:

• Technical expert for the storage and backup team.
• Support critical initiatives and projects.
• Research new technologies and develop insightful strategies in the areas of storage and backup/data protection.
• Develop and implement next generation backup and storage technologies.
• Strong foundation in both storage and backup (conceptually and hands-on) in SAN and NAS design, SAN zoning, LUN masking, fibre channel protocol, iSCSI and FCoE.
• Lead and manage large projects, drive advanced technical architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with storage products from EMC, Netapp, Hitachi and Symantec products and function as a subject matter expert.
• Act as an advocate for the IS Sr. Leadership team and prepare proposals and presentations relative to storage environment design, redesign and enhancements.
• Articulate both low and high level technical, strategic, and financial components.

 

Required Skills:

• 7 Years minimum experience with NetApp and EMC storage technologies is a must.
• Strong hands on experience on ONTAP 8.x -7 Mode and Cluster mode
• Hands on experience with local and remote replication using snapshot, Snapmirror, Snapvault and Flexclone
• Proficiency in configuring and administering zero RPO and low RTO for enterprise mission critical applications using EMC DMX3, VMAX with SRDF-S, SRDF-A
• Perform data replication, both local and extended distance using EMC, Timefinder/SRDF and Recoverpoint
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database performance issues
• Good experience in storage provisioning using SYMCLI, ECC , NavisecCLI, Navispehere and Unisphere for VMAX and VNX storage arrays
• Highly skilled in Cisco Director Class 9500 series FC SAN switches
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues on SAN switches and storage arrays.
