NEEDS TO BE SENIOR LEVEL

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

8-10+ years' years of experience as a AIX/Solaris Systems Administrator

Red Hat LINUX 5 administration
Solaris 2.8 and above administration

Deep experience with VMWare

Strong English verbal and written communication skills

SAN administration

Experience performing host based migrations

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all organizational levels, including internal and external customer management

Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment

DESIRED SKILLS:

HPUX
HDS Administration

Our client is providing systems and SAN support for a major telecommunications customer and they are in need of a consultant who has expertise working as an AIX/Solaris systems administrator.

The consultant will be responsible for supporting the AIX/Solaris systems as well as working with the VMWare tools. The consultant will assist with some SAN administration. The consultant will also be responsible for Linux systems and if possible, HPUX. The consultant will be using VMWare on a daily basis. The consultant must be able to perform host based migrations; troubleshoot and resolve issues; ability to work with minimal supervision. This role is remote so the consultant must be self motivated.
