Junior Access DBA 

Location: Albany, NY  

Duration: 12 Months 

Rate: $ 53 per/hr on c2c MAX

Please note that our client does allow Skype/remote interviews.  However they reserve the right to require an in-person interview.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

    Continued upload of new birth and death data from Vital Statistics and new hospital records from the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System.

    Continued design and implementation of modifications to database and data collection fields.

    Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.

    Generate reports.

    Conduct queries and data analyses.

Candidates should have experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

• Experience in Access database design and table relationships.
• Proficiency in ensuring valid data entry.
• Programming experience in Visual Basic.
• Expertise in data upload to Access database, creating new tables linked to existing tables.
• Proficiency in SQL queries and macros.
• Experience in writing user guides to instruct the end-user on how to navigate the database, gather requirements from the users and incorporate them into the database.
• Experience with SAS/Access interface to ODBC.
• Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Computer Science.
• Experience in data analysis, visualization and presentation.
