Job Title:  Sr. Technical QNXT Project Manager [with ICD10 implementation experience]

Positions:  1

Location: NYC, NY

Travel:  Mon-Thr on site

Duration:  6+ months

Start Date: Immediate

 

Overview of Role & Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will coordinate a Medical Claims system (QNXT by Trizetto) upgrade project as well as an ICD-10 implementation project. Successful candidate will possess extensive experience in large-scale business systems integration and software implementation and will have strong skills in project scheduling, task tracking, risk analysis, and testing.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirements gathering and gap analysis.
• Define project schedules, timelines and resource requirements.
• Develop and manage project plan and communication plan.
• Develop test plans and oversee user acceptance testing and vendor testing.
• Conduct weekly status meetings and prepare project progress reports for project sponsors and senior management.
• Manage change and risk throughout the project life cycle.
• Coordinate activities of internal IT resources, trading partners, and software vendor.
• Comply with standard policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

• 8+ years of IT Project Management experience implementing enterprise-wide software solutions in the healthcare industry.
• Must have experience in Medical Claims and Health Insurance business.  Experience with QNXT claims system will be a big plus.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Claims EDI (i.e., 837P/I, 277CA, 835 transactions) and ICD-9 codes.
• Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills.
• Command of modern project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong conceptual grasp of technology; understanding of client server architecture and relational database concepts.  Experience with SQL Server or Oracle helpful.
• Ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands.
• Strong business analysis/needs assessment skills; must be comfortable and effective working directly with end users, IT resources, and software vendors.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to conduct technical discussions with non-technical staff.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• PMP certification desirable.
