INTERVIEW PROCESS:  Phone interview then virtual

 

Candidates MUST have experience:

 

1)      Mobile development experience

2)      experience converting Silverlight to Responsive Design (HTML 5)

 

 

We have a need for 3 contract Software Engineer I's.  The people in this role are going to be responsible for helping us prep out talent advantage system to move to mobile platforms.  We are looking for someone who can convert Silverlight to Responsive Design (HTML 5).  This contract would likely be 6 months to a year.  The interview process for them is going to be a little bit shorter – a phone screen, 3 interviews, and a critical thinking assessment (there is no coding exercise).  Ideally, these people would be local – but we will consider virtual workers.

                                                       

Here is the general job description:

 

The Software Engineer I's role is to:

·         Work as part of an Agile development team to implement all phases of enterprise-level web based software applications.

·         Design, develop, test and configure .NET web applications

·         Establish and adhere to time estimates for development activities.

·         Support quality improvement of software by engaging in rigorous unit testing of all developed code and participating in the peer review of own and others' code.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and functional questions related to our E-Systems software products and solutions

·         Software Engineers need to excel in teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, analysis/problem assessment, initiative, and planning & organizing.

·         An understanding of distributed architectures and data- driven web sites is a critical success factor for the position.

Relevant Qualifications

(These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job)

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Proven technical aptitude and exceptional proven initiative to investigate/learn new technologies.

·         Knowledge of MVC and Silverlight

·         Experience participating and executing development within an Agile team.

·         At least one of the following:

·         2-5 years' experience in software engineering.

·         2-5 years' experience in database and stored procedure design. 

·         2-3 years' experience: web-services, N-tier applications using current UI frameworks, and modern web application standards.

·         Ability to work independently, to meet deadlines with high standards for quality (coding standards, configuration management).

·         Sets high standards of performance for self

·         Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems/issues

·         Excellent planning and organizing skills

·         Effective communication skills

·         Actively seeks learning opportunities and applies learning's to the job

·         Generates different and novel ways to deal with work problems/opportunities

·         Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition

Preferred Qualifications

·         1-2 years' experience MVC and Silverlight client-side application development and XAML-based interfaces

·         1-2 years' experience working with MS Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server for source control and bug tracking

·         1-2 years' experience in working in an agile environment, prefer knowledge of SCRUM practices
