Location: Hillsboro OR

Duration: 6 months

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Duties:

 

•Understanding test requirements and formulating test automation solutions for OpenStack

•Ability to understand project feature/functionality in-depth, work closely with development engineers, and design test cases

•Developing, implementing, and configuring test automation framework for testing graphical user interface and APIs

•Develop coding specs and standards for test automation adherence to the frameworks

•Discovering and investigating product defects and drive to resolution

•Evaluate and identify technologies to enhance and refine automation performance and adoption

•Build and enhance tools for rapid testing and easy test results analysis Required Skills:

•Experience writing Python and JavaScript for test automation – specifically API and UI use cases

•Experience using commercially available test frameworks

•Experience developing test automation for the Linux environment

•Experience developing test automation for the OpenStack environment

•Experience developing test automation for REST APIs

•Experience with networking basics – understand network topologies and use of switches and routers

•Experience setting up and testing virtualized environments (e.g. KVM, VMWare)

•Experience with ad hoc testing based on knowledge of system and project requirements

•Experience creating and executing test plans

•Advanced knowledge of validation processes/methodologies

•Self-starter able to work with limited direction

•Must be willing and able to learn new technologies

•Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

 

 

Preferred Skills:

 

• Experience with a web driver like Selenium or PhantomJS

• Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or Mocha.js

• Experience with a continuous integration (CI) environment like Jenkins or QuickBuild
