Position:  Sr. Linux System Administrator with Datacenter and Cloud exp.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration : Long term
 

Designation : Sr. Linux System Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):                                                                                    

·         Provide End to End Linux Administration including installation, configuration, upgradation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Linux systems

·         Provide Automation Support on Linux using Puppet and Capistrano etc including maintenance and troubleshooting

·         Maintenance of web and app servers like Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Samba, Ruby on Rails, Squid and Nginx

·         Create and Modify scripts using Perl/Shell/Bash/Python

·         Provide support to various flavours of Linux such as RedHat, Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and SuSE

·         Perform User Management, File System Management, Performance Monitoring(Storage Capacity), Log Files Management and Security Management

·         Perform MySQL, PHP and VMWare Administration

·         Provide thorough Documentation of the various issues handled along with the resolution provided

·         Ensure 100% resolution within the SLA provided and achieve the targets.

·         Must follow strict ITIL process based Service Delivery

 

Desired Profile of the Candidate: 

·         5+ years hands-on experience in Linux administration with datacenter exposure

·         Experience working on databases like MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Greenplum is a plus

·         Exposure to storage and networking concepts preferred

·         Strong knowledge in Scripting and Dev-IT / Continuous Integration concepts with experience working on Configuration management tools like Chef, GIT, Puppet required

·         Hands on experience of cloud computing environments like AWS, EC2 is a plus

·         Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

·         Good documentation and time management skills required
