Job: Junior or Mid Level Manual QA Tester
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Rate: $34/hr on C2C
FACE TO FACE REQUIRED..!!!
Essential Job Functions
Understanding business requirements through BRDs, user stories and walkthroughs
Creating Test plan, test scenarios, test cases and test data
Test execution in SIT, UAT and other environments
Defect logging, tracking, triage, RCA and reporting
Updating ALM and/or other test management tools
Essential Skills and Experience:
4-8 years (no more than 8 yrs) of QA/Testing hands-on experience
Experience in requirement gathering & impact analysis with business users
Experience in creating test scenario & test cases based on requirements
Experience in working on agile testing projects
Excellent communication and client management skills
Proficient in test management tools (QC, ALM) and defect management tools (JIRA) and Rally
Experience in defect management - defect triage, RCA, reporting etc
Experience in writing & executing basic SQL queries
Experience in test execution using automation tools like QTP is plus

MUST HAVES:
4-8 years of Automated QA testing experience
Strong experience using QTP, ALM, Selenium & HP Quality Center
Strong experience defect management tools (Jira or Rally)
Ability to write complex SQL queries
Experience working in an agile environment
PLUS:
State Health Exchange experience
DAY TO DAY:
Our client is looking for a QA Tester to join their team in the NJ Delivery Center. These resources will join the Government Solutions group and will be working on various State Health Exchange (HIX) Projects. They will be responsible for writing test cases and executing test plans; product testing and defect resolution; utilize Quality Center/ALM, QTP; coordinating with Release Managers to ensure environments contain proper code release and data for testing; create test scenarios from user stories for User Acceptance Testing. They need to be flexible with travelling to various client sites during the week.
