JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The IT Maximo Techno-Functional reports to the IT Operations Director and is responsible for both leading and participating in the functional design, development, support, maintenance, and configuration of operations and maintenance (O&M) application Maximo.
- This position is also responsible for supporting other peripheral applications and interfaces used to supplement operations and maintenance applications.
- Work with O&M user community providing excellent user support for Maximo and related business processes.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, prepare work flow diagrams, and develop functional design documents.
- Execute and implement solutions as per the business requirement with the deployment of new and enhanced functionality and business flow.
- Investigate and resolve complex problems through research and functional analysis.
- Provide continual assessment and review of unit testing and integration plans to ensure the solutions meet the business need and are working as designed.
- Effectively communicate work status information, design discussions and issues with the team comprised of resources from IT, consultants and end users.
- Work with technical team in reviewing technical specifications and translating technical issues/requests in a manner that can be understood by the business users, and vice versa.
- Help keep the applications current with appropriate patches/upgrades.
- Review change management procedures and follow methodology for moving functional set-up/configuration into production.
- Ability to interact effortlessly with business/user community to determine and document functional/technical requirements.
- Documentation of Meeting Minutes, Business Work Flows and Requirements, Functional Design Specifications, and Test Cases for user acceptance testing.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams on common issues, ability to multitask, appropriately manage the priorities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding of new functionalities.
- Highly logical, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
- Heavy functional and technical knowledge of Maximo 7.5 or later.
- Must have experience with integration to Oracle EBS via Oracle SOA and/or MIF Objects including integration of PRs, POs, Invoices.
- Must have experience working in a Liquefaction LNG terminal.
- Must understand and have experience with work management, asset management, workflows, purchasing, inventory, and supply chain business processes.
- Must have experience creating and/or updating escalations.
- Must have experience creating Actuate BIRT reports.
- Must have experience deploying applications using IBM WebSphere.
- Must have experience with PL/SQL.
- Must have experience in Java development.
- Experience gathering and developing business requirements including creation of test cases/scripts and matching those test cases/scripts to requirements.
- Configuration experience in Maximo objects, presentation layer and workflows.
- Must understand software applications in general and how to configure software.
- Must have the ability to learn new technology and programming languages in support of application modifications and development.
- JIRA test tracking software
- Experience in using established Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in IT or related Business field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with Maximo implementation and support.
- Minimum 7 years full life cycle experience with all aspects of application setup, testing, user training, and production support.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with writing scripts and programming.
- Minimum 5 years of experience recording meeting minutes and developing application implementation documentation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.
- Good organizational, presentation and report writing skills.
- Good documentation and writing skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Experience troubleshooting technical/functional issues.
- Functional, analytical and some technical abilities sufficient for the support, maintenance and configuration of Maximo.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Oracle EBS, Oracle Inventory, Oracle Reports, Oracle Discoverer, XML Publisher, Electronic Logbook, Python Programming, Oracle Purchasing, and Oracle R12.
