Independent Candidates
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
Three years of experience in the management of SQL Server environments
At least two years must include development using SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2016, SharePoint, and multiple versions of both SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SWAL Server Integration Services
A desire for self-development and continuous improvement
Ability to work in a sedentary office environment for several hours at a time
Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computers
Ability to perform limited physical activities
Ability to communicate well.
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, operates, safeguards, and maintains in-house and partner integrated SQL Server databases
Managing and monitoring production SQL servers and environments
Authoring custom stored procedures, SQL jobs and reports
Authors, tests, and deploys SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
Authors, tests, and deploy reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Develops and maintains multiple SQL Server Integrated Services and SQL Server Reporting Services environments
Manages system resources to maintain database systems performance at high levels
Manages and tests database backups and restores
Participates in the software development process following agile methodologies
Contributes to architecture and design discussions with a good understanding of relational database design patterns
Reviews database designs proposed by development team
Create, document, and test disaster backup and recovery procedures for database systems
Provides software installation, hardware diagnostic, and configuration services
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of database design, management, and maintenance using SQL Server 2008 to current version SQL Server
Experience developing and modifying databases using Microsoft SQL Server Management Console and T-SQL
Development and maintenance of SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services.
